With huge sadness we announce the death of a colleague and dear friend Paul Hendy

We have some very sad news to announce. Paul Hendy, a stalwart of the National Flood Forum and the Scottish Flood Forum has died of an illness. Paul was for many years a director then a work colleague at the NFF. As part of this he started the work that led to the creation of the Scottish Flood Forum and was a core part of the team until very recently.

Paul’s death is a huge loss. He helped many thousands of people and his characteristic focus of always providing the direct help that people needed, whatever else was going on and however much he was under pressure is something that many people will be familiar with. His enthusiasm, energy and very personal approach will be missed greatly.

People will want to convey their thoughts and sympathy to Paul’s family. The Scottish Flood Forum is setting up a Tribute Page https://scottishfloodforum.org/paul-hendy-sad-news/ where you can add your condolences and share your memories of Paul.
